Minimalism is a style of photography that is characterised by extreme sparseness and simplicity. There are many interpretations of this. Let's explore them in our next lesson.

This is our last class this term. We will do a hands on lesson, photographing “Birds and Flowers”. Bring your cameras and we will go outside after show and tell and try to capture the birds and flowers in the village gardens. 

Remember to send in a photo for the Show and Tell segment, “Street Photography” or “Urban Photography"

To give you some tips for "Bird and Flower Photography” you can check out the notes from previous years that were attached with the letter.

The main topic on Wednesday will be STREET PHOTOGRAPHY. Street Photography is defined by its candidness and produces ironic amusement and it is a mirror image of society displaying scenes of unaware subjects.

A good photograph tells a story, evokes emotion and engages the viewer. Next lesson we will learn how to "Tell a Story" with our photographs, either in one photo or with two or more photos.

Everyone takes sunset photos whether from their back door or when they are on holidays. Many of them become cliche photos, ones that everyone takes. so how can we make our sunset and sunrise photos different and something special. That will be our topic on Wednesday 5 June.
